About

As a Yoga Teacher and Doula, I strive to remind people that they are whole not a piece, or a part.

"I grew up in Upstate New York, spending most of my time with friends and family in the Adirondacks. Although I had a great childhood, I couldn’t help but feel mostly out of place - like I didn’t belong. As I grew up, I knew in my heart of hearts that I wanted to help people who felt similar to me. I have always had a passion for helping people - more specifically helping people be more comfortable with themselves and feeling more “at home” in their own body. I am trauma informed yoga teacher, doula and advocate and I am learning everyday that the path of healing is not linear or a one-size fits all model. I am here to serve and support you in whatever ways I can."

Jammella is a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher and soon-to be  Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher in Albany, NY. Jammella began her yoga practice in 2012 and was immediately hooked. She began to see through the growth of her spiritual and physical health how trans-formative yoga is and how it is an integral part of the human experience. The deeper she dove into the yoga the more she learned – and the less she felt she knew. After encouragement from her teachers, she began her YTT and things have been different ever since.

" Your energy is both grounding and inspiring. I want to push myself but I also feel totally okay saying no to that perfectionist nag and listening to and allowing my body as is. That’s the energy exchange for me. I bring this drive for perfectionism but it’s easy to let it go in your presence and just Be. I used to think I didn’t like taking classes. Now I’m pretty sure I just needed to be your student the whole time."
